In Memory...
Unfortunately we lost a great member of society over this last week. Christopher Reeve died this week from complications with his heart due to an infection. I look at this as a tragedy in 'hope' more than anything else. I still recall the oscars several years ago...one of the commercials included a digital representation of Christopher walking up to the stage. Though it was digitally created, it looked extremely real, and for a split second you became very excited and full of joy at seeing this miracle before our eyes. In this sense, his death was a tragedy. I had a sense of hope that he would eventually walk in our lifetime. He was the representation of overcoming adversity. I believed in the hope of him walking because he truly was Superman for these kinds of things - he embodied hope in this life for an entire world. All I can hope is that he is walking around and we will be able to meet him and walk with him again someday, thank you Christopher Reeve for the hope and light you brought into this world during your time here. All our prayers and blessings to your family and loved ones - you will be missed.
