Seduced...
For a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Before the dark time....before the Empire.
A young Jedi named Darth Vader, who was a pupil of mine until he turned to evil, helped the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights. He betrayed and murdered your father. Now the Jedi are all but extinct. Vader was seduced by the Dark Side of the Force.
There were a few themes in this movie that absolutely floored me...mainly this idea of seduction to evil. More to come later, but my mind is truly spinning...The stories we find oursleves in and how those take us towards our destiny is nothing less than intriguing

Is becoming a Jedi, or turning to some darkside your destine?
Yes, stories we find ourselves in shall be grand! But a movie, to fill the gap, is just that.
Anonymous...unfortunately I haven't had time to finish this thought. By stories, I don't mean connecting to movies. Perhaps its more of a connection to the themes. I think we all have this grand idea of our lives and what we will become - even if we lie and pretend we do not. The question is...how do arrive at that final point? I think what we dream and imagine is typically far off from reality, with the exceptional great stories in history. More often, most of us become mediocre at best - as opposed to the great stories we spend hours watching on TV. So maybe our destiny does not lie so much in the road to good or evil - but in the choice of mediocre or great - or selfishness versus unselfishness, pride and humility, etc. I think the most interesting aspect of this movie is the blantantly obvious reality that evil rarely takes the form of evil. Rather it is wrapped in goodness disguised apart from evil. Which we may say yeah yeah yeah...the raod to hell is paved with good intentions and some other cliche - yet I think we majorly underestimate our potential for evil and good...and may not be able to identify either one passing before us on a daily basis.
