Return to the Suburbs
After church this evening I went out with Bowman and Erin Stacy to a brand new restaurant in town: Applebee's!! Now, an old place for you but new for this town. Not only is it new but it has actual parking like in the suburbs! It was great, even the prices were the same...and the classic Bud Brewtus!! Oh, what a night. It was rather funny as Professor Bowman ran into too many of his students and we discussed reading people, ie, who Erin thinks likes us!! Hilarious. It was a good night as it reminded me of times last year where all of us went out to applebee's or 54th street or Olive Garden, oh how I loved that place! Even our waitor, Paul, was a cool guy who earned his tip. I think the best part about the night might have been when Erin told us a prayer story. In college she attended Catholic mass with several "football player" built gentleman. As they kneeled down to pray they slid up on the pew and their combined weight tipped the pew onto them thus crunching them into the pew in front of them - maybe not that funny in telling it, but, picturing four or so guys smashed between church pews and stuck by their own weight is so stinkin' funny! Especially interrupting the vigilance of Catholic mass - Erin said the Priest had no choice but to stop the service to help these guys. I enjoyed the evening and it's by far the most eventful thing I did all weekend. Well, except for buying Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix...a long but excellent read. Will you be buying tickets to the upcoming film? you should if you're not - oh, and I updated several entries if you're bored and want some entertaining reading. Only one more week until Thanksgiving, and then comes Christmas!! Muppet's Christmas Carol - here I come!
