Travelin' for the Weekend

I am officially plumped...I mean pumped for the weekend coming up. Especially as my roomies sit here and play Kill Zone for the entire evening! reminds me of high school bond nights on the nintendo. Anyway, this weekend Dusty and I are travelling to Steamboat Springs to do a little skiing. Today I finally purchased a decent ski coat. I was rather pleased...maybe later I'll post a picture of it. I couldn't decide between North Face or Columbia. In the end I chose the Columbia as I have had friends that were pleased with theirs and it was cheaper - seeing as I live in MO, not the biggest ski area around. It will be good to see Will when we go out. Downside is the fact that his roommates are rumored to be a bunch of stoners - could be interesting...especially if we witness to them when they're stoned! Now that's an experience, just kidding about that one. It's been a while since Dusty and I sat down to talk - so I'm looking forward to that...need to start burning some CD's for the trip methinks. I'm not the best ski master in the world - but there is an exhilirating feeling about being up at the top of the mountain with only the snow, ski's, sun, wind...and in my case, high possibility of death on the way down. I remember a ski trip with these same guys a couple of years ago. I took a huge dive right below the ski lift...as I arose from the pile of snow - I opened my eyes to the sight and sound of the people above laughing as they passed overhead. Then Mike asked me if I hurt anything...in reply I said, "only my ego." That can always take a hit though. Last year I joined Annie's church on a ski trip - that was a blast as well. And you know, I really had a good time with here. I was quiet on most of the trip, as I usually am around strangers...but I had fun and enjoyed the fellowship. All my prayers to the members of Christ Community in Rochester, MN. Great bunch of people, love ya all - even though we don't see each other much. Couple of days to go until the trip to CO! alright!! and the other fun part is my birthday is on Tuesday followed shortly thereafter by Dusty's. Probably have a dual celebration when we get there - hopefully the legal kind too
