"Who is this Gordon?"

I'm currently in Boston, sitting in Mike's apartment as Dusty slowly comes to consciousness from a nap and Mike's calm snoring echoes in the background. This weekend was a prime beginning to my beginning here (in terms of my last visit before the move). Lux and Preston were here all weekend giving us many opportunities to joke, catch up, and just hang out again. Yesterday we journeyed to a far off beach entitled Singing Beach. We played a little football and discussed the classic prank of the "impossible situp." I have some nice pictures I'll upload upon my return but that leads me to a rather tragic story. Before Lux left, we all decided to put together a small BBQ. Well, there aren't a lot of grills around the parks out here - so we improvised. We turned over a metal trash can, set up a temporary grill made out of the wires of an umbrella, and begin the cooking process. We were unfortunately titled "idiots" by a fellow patron passing by our endeavor. Oh well. The second unfortunate event began when I thought it would be funny to grab a picture of our genius burger cooking strategy. The camera passing turned out to be a bust and we all watched as it took a double bounce down to the ground...oops. Sure enough - it won't open up, and can't take any more pictures. Last, it appears the camera is discontinued in terms of production and the upgrade is around three hundred dollars - so in hindsight...I'm an idiot and all I've got to show for it is a broken camera. My mom's camera by the way. Well some good has developed...I'm currently bidding on a new one on ebay to replace this one for a much much cheaper price than repairing it - now I've got a busted camera but also a hopeful ebay account...so it's a balance, like much life.
