2nd Annual Picnic Olympics
What do Three headed races, three legged races, blindfolded banana leap frog, egg toss, bat spinning relays, and a little trivial pursuit question and answer have in common? Nothing, well you're right - with the exception of last night! That's right, last night my impact group (aka 'Manta' as we chose to call ourselves for the events) had the enjoyment of participating in Jacob's Well Picnic Olympics. It was a fabulous time of random games, laughing, and just laid back entertainment. Our numbers were few as we lost more and more throughout the hours leading up to the event, and yet none the less... we managed to take home the gold! Way to got team. I have to admit that leap frog seemed to get the most laughs as Kevin and I leaped over one another over and over again, blindfolded none the less. However, there was a catch with this little game. You had to grab a banana from the person who had just leaped - which they held between their legs. Though I couldn't see it - I hear it was quite a riot to see Kevin and I, blindfolded, running up to one another, hands extended, grabbing one anothers butts in search of the banana - bizzare game, yet we got first place! I really enjoy my bible study group and to say that I'm fortunate to meet them this year is a major, major understatement. I would say is there could only be one reason I'd stay in KC instead of moving to Boston - it would be them! I've really am blessed to have met these guys and I'm sad to leave them after just getting to really deepen our relationships, and yet I'm excited to see where they go in the upcoming year. It was a good night. Oh and I forgot to mention names, right to left is Joel, Chris, myself, Kevin, and Kevin's father in law who helped out in trivial pursuit. Kevin's wife, Julie joined in by rallyng behind us and cheering for the team, as she is just about to have their first child! Andrewcallemdrew will be his name. Carson was there as well along with Stephanie who seemed to disappear after bringing me a very special gift which I'm getting ready to enjoy - I'll keep that my little secret though - already got enough slack from the fellas! Good job team!!I added a few more pics from other JW blogs - hope you enjoy!

Are you talking about the DVDs of Felicity that Stephanie brought you? Is that what's supposed to be kept secret? That you're spending all afternoon of this beautiful summer day pouring the angst of unrequited love and drama that filled the TV of the late 90's in the shape of a curly-haired utterly self-conscious girl who's best friend was a dictaphone? Whoops....looks like someone let the cat out of the bag..... ;)
You guys definitely deserved the firt place prize. ;)
Thanks Tim! It was such a fun night wasn't it? I don't think anyone made it out without a smile on their face - I think everyone deserved first though - but it's good to hang a medal on the wall - even if it is plastic
