Heather's Wedding

Two become One

It was not a short period after arriving home from Boston that I was off to St. Louis for Heather's wedding, which I was excited to attend. Overall, I was very impressed with the beauty, faithfulness, pureness, and sense of community that surrounded the day. But let's jump back just a bit to the actual trip. It was an excellent drive out as I was able to pick Dom up in Columbia - we jumped between serious conversation, such as forms of identity and contentment, to more day to day...real life changing conversation, ie. Star Wars Revenge of the Sith. We stayed with Lux and I will say without hesitation that his sister's bed, which I slept in (she was out of town), was the incredible in terms of comfort. From the way you sink into the mattress to the blanket - perfection compared to my bed. But what do you expect when you sleep four feet above a futon? The wedding was at two o'clock and it was unfortunately beginning to rain - and Lux's windshield wipers were a little out of function, so we improvised by doing a little flipping. I can't say that there was anything to out of the ordinary in the actual ceremony, yet I really enjoyed it more than most. The songs were excellent, verses: typical, groomsman and bridesmaids: numerous, and the spirit of Christ: evident. I really enjoyed each part though I can't name something specific I enjoyed, just the overall environment. Seeing old friends was also a lot of fun. Seebass and Morgan, Kristian and pregnant Amanda, Erin Harris and Husband, Dom and Angela, Elisa, Gentry, Andrea, Brian and the list goes on. The reception was immaculate. The location was the same as Kristian and Amanda's where I had the privilege to be a part of! The St. Louis City Museum is something else to see...a great environment for a reception or any other celebration. Cutting Cake, eletric slide dancing, toasts, laughing with old friends, great dinner, overlooks...what an evening - Heather, I wish you and your husband a relationship that honors Christ and brings joy to each of your lives. It was a beautiful day and I hope my wedding day can exude Christ as much as yours someday.

That's great. I wish I could have been there...with such quality people. Ah, such is long distance living.
