Another Trip to Minnesota
I'll finish this a bit later...I am currently in Columbus Ohio, after a long day of driving. Well, a week or so later and I am now able to blog about Mike's Wedding. I figured I'd copy a format from another fellow blogger, and I know many who adopt this method, of running through the days and providing quick summaries. so let's begin with the middle of the week.
Wednesday
I drove up to Minnesota on Wednesday, leaving fairly early that morning. On the way up I took a detour on I-90 and travelled through Rochester for old times sake. I was impressed at how much the city had changed in just a year or so...the basic layout was the same with the exception of much more suburban sprawl, houses and such. Highway 52, the main road through town, was an absolute disaster! Major construction going on and it wasn't pretty or convenient. It was interesting to drive through Rochester one more time, I suppose mostly it was saying goodbye to a life my mind was attached to for so long. I realized my mind was doing a slow recovery of understanding the life I spent so much time investing in...and the life that was ever present - so it was good to be present there for a time and make an intentioinal effort to say goodbye to such a cherished time and place. Well, enough said there. I travelled further north and arrived in Apple Valley and Lakeville. From there I met up with Mike, tried on Tuxes, and went over to Kendra's where we spent the rest of the night eating dinner and playing cards. Learned a new game, awesome! Oh yeah, and I actually had a cup of coffee - and enjoyed it! Don't count on another one going down for another several years though. Later that night, around 1AM, Dusty and Will arrived from the airport.
Thursday
We took it fairly easy here. Woke up and ran some errands. There were some rumors of possibly going to the casino, shopping, etc, etc, however, we took some naps and watched golf - very relaxing...and yet I was still tired. That evening we went to the golf course, ran through the ceremony and went to the rehearsal dinner. Good times had by all.
Friday
Early in the morning we went to the golf course to play 18 before it was time to start getting ready. I was paired up with Zack and Will for the day. Will shot, well, alright. After that we went in for pictures ans began the ceremony. I enjoyed the vows a great deal and the overall day. Obviously there is a ton to discuss but time is running short as I have a few things to take care, hopefully I can finish this up at some point. Feel free to check out the pictures on Flickr though - it was an awesome day and I'm so happy to be living in the same city with Mike and Kendra!!

i am really dissapointed with your inability to post an entry since you've moved to boston. the people are die'n to know. so write sumptin' chump!
Agreed.
If you know the answer to this riddle, then you know what I need in terms of posting..."Augh! it is the answer!" For bonus points: Do you know who says this riddle and who luckily guesses it?
"This thing all things devours:
Birds, beasts, trees, flowers;
Gnaws iron, bites steel;
Grinds hard stones to meal;
Slays king, ruins town,
And beats high mountain down."
Tyler needs more "time." Luckily Bilbo knew this answer to Gollum's riddle.
What have I got in my pocket?
Time is on my side, yes it is....
Oh beeginator!! good song, even better movie, yet - Joe took the cake, you forgot to tell me who said it...
"...He wanted to shout out: 'Give me more time! Give me Time!' But all that came out with a sudden squeal was: 'Time! Time!' Bilbo was saved by pure luck, for 'time' was the answer!"
I need a bit more time and I guarantee a new post...I'm going on a huge retreat this weekend to lake Winnipasuakue...think that's close to the spelling, full of speakers, worship, skiing, etc etc...full post after that if not sooner - but i'm doing well, busy, but well
gollum said it. you forget I once had a frog nammed Gollum. We can thank Laura Frick for that. As for Joe beating me, beat me barely he did. I looked at the comments and between looking and replying, he did. It was a hair-lined difference.
Anyway, you're right. Great movie. A tad bit freaky, but good. Looking forward to the update but I'm glad you're going on the retreat. Definitely sounds like fun!
don't know ya, but you wanted lotsa 'best of luck for Boston' wishes... so, thought i'd add to your count.
have fun and avoid picking up the accent. :) jk.
what! we have time to update banners but not write anything? are you avoiding us?
(i like the "chubbie bunnies") but that won't gt you off the hook!
nice looking banner Tyler... give me a call Searcy, not sure if you got my call last weekend, have a good day guys! Scotty Brant
I was thinking the EXACT same thing. It seems to me that collecting an assortment of pictures and arranging them to look as good as they do takes a BIT more time than a simple post to ensure all of us that you are, in fact, alive. Also, I'm still waiting for that call you promised me on Monday.
Mathew, got your message. I definitely went to bed at 930 last night....
:)
Don't be jealous of my "sweet banner" and my innocent chubby bunnies...you all just wish you had as gooda computer hacking and nunchuck skills as I do - "in your face charlie murphy!!"
... i guess i am a little jealous. girls like guys with skills.
especially ones with bow hunting skills...
Okay, I'm going to the bathroom (If you can figure out which number this is if I don't push down the 'shift' key - @ - then you know which type)
and then I'm posting as much as I can, but it may be just a little bit for now...not like you'll read this, but I wanted to officially say I'm using the bathroom on my blog! You know who this is too
Bombs Away @@@@@@
