Skiing for the weekend (part 1)

Another year - another skiing adventure! This picture is from Steamboat Springs Colorado where Dusty and I met up with Will this past weekend. I have to say it was a pleasure seeing you guys - you are always such an encouragement to my faith (wish I could have said the same about my "el infermo") Dust - thanks for the awesome discussion on faith, life, girls, the hopes of our journeys. Will, Dusty and I both agreed you are an awesome example for Christ out there! Keep it up buddy - we're prayin for ya.
This was definitely an excellent trip, quite different than Skiing with the Rochester crew last year. I lack the words to describe the marvelous view from the heights of the mountains - I've never seen such beauty for such a distance. Duluth was a fantastic time with good company but I feel this journey to CO has nourished a piece of my soul that needed it - only time will tell. Unfortunately I will spill more of the details in part 2 of this entry...for the time being I need to go to bed. Let me give you a small foreshadowing of the trip - Saturday evening, shortly after skiing, I caught the worst combination of altitude sickness, flu, or food poisoing anyone in the history of the world has ever experienced (perhaps I exxagerate a bit). Though it was horrible - and it basically started in about a 30min time span. One minute I was fine and then Bam! Stats for the last 24 hours: Thrown up +15plus times and the need immodium AD bathroom breaks +25 plus times. Put a small monkey wrench in the weekend - but I would have done it all again to spend the time in fellowship with my friends. Take care guys, thanks for always being there and believing in me...even when no one else would.

oh brother- you all take so much to heart...you know exactly what I'm talking about! Oh yeah...yeah, I think you know! besides, don't you realize I always add that kinda stuff at the end - adds to the dramatic affect. It's all about the mood baby, all about the mood. And truthfully, this is telling these guys that they are among my many friends that I know would stand by me no matter what - the proven...like yourself. I think you get the subtleties of the 'one's I refer towards. Come on now, you know me - I love you guys
You have a Masters of English, and this is the best you can end your writings? With cheap antics... that one would expect to find in b movies. Way to go! You Suck!
