Words For My Life to Revolve

Words for my life to revolve

This is a short update, I still need to finish the one about last weekend and possibly later this week I will be adding pictures of my school. Which reminds me, I upgraded to a Flickr pro account on account (did I just use that word twice?) of the fact I want to invest in a nice digital and begin doing much more artistic/photagraphic types of pictures. This means I can practically upload as many pictures as is humanly possible. I have a 2GB upload limit per month - that's like a freak of nature. Anyway, on the train today I finally decided to put together this little idea that's been brewing in my head for about a year. Let me describe it and possibly some of you may want to venture into this category with me. I have always enjoyed music and poetry. However, I've concluded that I am about as far from musically gifted as you can possibly get. Me playing music and dancing is similar to a blind man playing quarterback - describing the game to him is hard enough, let alone watching him play on the field. Nonetheless, I feel I am alright at writing music - at least the lyrics. Most musicians have an idea of the music (ie the sound) when they write the lyrics though...therefore, I want to begin writing songs without the music. How can I do this? Easy, I will be taking the music and beat from already created songs and rewriting the lyrics to reflect a story or mood I want to tell. It's pretty simple as I've done it before. Bottom line is that I'm going to begin writing music as a hobby and pastime. Not all the time - but some of the time. I'll probably try to have my first one out by the end of this weekend. I will be placing these here!. No one ever used this so I'm putting it to some use - a reformat of design is obviously necessary I think. If any of you would like me to post work of yours, art, music, thoughts, whatever - email it to me and I'll put it up. This is going to be my artistic realm and place to recreate some of the songs that I feel are not being truly faithful. More on that later. Alright, peace out - going to bed.

sweet. i'll probably contribute. or at least read it as well.
Anderson, you should have never left me. I almost went to go see a movie by myself the other night. It was about penguins. As it turned out, I decided not to spend the money and just stay home like the loser I am. I'm glad you're out making new friends....just don't forget about me!!! Also, why don't you just e-mail me the address of the guy I need to send the CDs to....I've been having trouble getting to the post office. It's never open when I'm free and every other place I try doesn't have "weighing" capabilities for packages. Sorry friend. I've listened to them, though and definitely good stuff. Thanks for sharing!
matty - I'm sorry we missed our chance to be friends last night. Maybe tonight before you're forever cut off from communication with the free world?

Hey newbie! I'm one too! Sounds like you are settling nicely into the Boston world. I am unpacked into my DORM (yes, dorm) room and still doing orientation here. Classes start Tuesday and I say bring it on! Let's be "we just moved to a new world" friends. Sound good to you?
