Life Is A Strategic Move

I ran into an interesting blog the other day that taught me how small of a world we really live in - especially in the blog world. Crazy, gotta be more cautious I suppose - never know who knows who you know...it will get even more interesting if they ever know you know and that persons knows you know who they know - follow that? Me either. Anyway, lift up a prayer for my baby bro Mike and my dog Boston. Let's start with the four legged creature first. Poor Boston is now a walking health awareness chart. He is diabetic, taking too many cc's a day for an average person. He has hip dysplasia and is now officially blind - to the point he counts his steps around the house and will run into you if he and you aren't careful. What happened to my boy? It's hard to watch the one's you love slip beyond you...
And Mike - who knows what's up with my brother! They took nearly 100 xrays of his stomach the other day, only to find nothing. I guess he has been throwing up most everything he eats - and this has gone on infrequently for several months and maybe years. The doctors are clueless - go figure. They're not sure what causes it because everything on the inward side is 'normal.' Say a prayer. He's been fine lately but I'm sure it's kind of a scary thing when you can't identify what's wrong with you - whether that be emotionally or physically I think we can all relate too - so lift him up.
Life is a bizzare, unplannable, unnegotiable set of circumstances. I have decided that as strategic as we can possibly be - life always throws in a curve. No plans are secure...no foundation is forever - so what makes us have this deep belief that we rest on stable ground? Why do we spend so much time trying to control what we cannot? Why do we think we can unlock the mysteries of other people when I haven't even found the key to myself? I think I spend so much time searching for something to control that I miss the excitement of living in the uncontrollable - the bliss of true, authentic, infallible life! What's really wild is when we try to control the past by wanting complete understanding - when the truth is the truth hurts...freedom is costly, are you ready for the pain? Hope so, it'll bring freedom, but only through death. I told you - life is a bizzare thing...there's no way to be strategic, try all you might - life throws curves. Are you a controller of your life...no you're not, understand it...find your own key - and enjoy the ride.
