visitors from home
This past week was a pretty lazy week for me! We had a winter/spring break and I had nine full days off from work, does it get any better than that? The best part is that in another six weeks we have another week off, but here's the rub, we don't get out of school until mid-June. As I reflect on the week I can't say it was overly eventful, mostly me hanging around reading blogs, watching television, working out at six AM still, and just napping...what a life, I'm so lazy. Anyway, there was some unusual excitement as my cousin Scott came to visit last weekend. Unfortunately it was bitterly cold the days he was here, luckily no massive snowfalls like the weekend before. (17inches in around 24 hours...quite a bit) Scotty and I just chilled and kicked like in KC. We attempted to tour the city on Saturday and Sunday but it was impossible. You know, it's cold here, not as cold as Minnesota or Maine, but the difference between there and here is that here you're walking everywhere you go. Therefore, it seems a lot colder here to me, also the buildings make wind channels that nearly blow your over in mid-step. Until Monday it wasn't warm enough to go around. We checked out the Prudential building and attempted Trinity Church but it was locked up for the day. It was good having him here and I got a little homesick as I dropped him off at the airport, seeing as he was my first visitor, and immediate family. Later in the week, yesterday to be in fact, another (new) friend caught up with me...and I with him. Cupp and I have tried to connect since this past fall here in Boston and KC, yet unsuccessfully (we're busy popular guys, at least he is and I'm just lazy). We caught up at a local bar and talked community, history, church, connections, and well, you know the typical with me...
All in all it was a good connection and I'm excited for a new friend who will be up here now and again. I was most impressed with Cupp's initial question, or conversation starter more accurately, "So, what's your story?" Great opener...look forward to seeing you again when you're here.

alright Pille, I saw you looking at the blog, if you check comments...time for you to start posting again.
I love you being off because you answer your phone and or at least return my call in the same day. Hey you come by laziness honestly.. remember all those summer days your school teacher Momma would not get dressed till it was time to "go to the pool"? The thing I tell my self is "I deserve it cause when I work I work hard!!" there you go..
By addy, I mean address. Address to what? Those who need to find me can. Glad Scotty had a good visit. I was hopping to go to CO soon with some old KC friends but that may fall through. I'll be in Seattle from 13-17 of March. Fun times. Bla, bla, bla...this isn't my blog.
So, the reason that I'm writing: Saw a VH1 special on Hip-Hop and the begging of gangster-rap... From Ice-T, NWA, Dr. Dre, to Tu Pac. It chronicled an interesting procession from Black panthers to crips, Rodney King, and Thug life. It was all about the music. I figured it would be something for you to checkout sometime. Then I watched the Olympics because I recognize some fleeting valor that some Olympians still believe in. You should know this is at a 4th grade writing level. Later
tyler, your picture FREAKED me out. I was like, Whoa. that's a massive glare I have going on with my computer this morning. wait.... that's not a glare....

peace dude...... see you soon!
Props to your blog...nah, you see, by not directly showing how to get to your blog everyone has become much more interested in who you are. They either 1) check to see if that's you in my links, and get excited they figured it out thus really checking out the blog, or 2) ask me about it and proplong the mystery longer until they're dying to read more! Either way, you're in good hands with Jack Bauer, I mean all-state, I mean me.
